Nolan Crombie | Spring Into Truth

Nolan Crombie wears many hats. He started his mental health advocacy journey at the young age of just 18 years old.

Nolan was brought up in a troubling environment facing challenges such as abuse, trauma, and neglect. Jared Scott brought the Culture Shift tour to Nolan’s school during his low period of life. When Jared connected with Nolan, Nolan had no hope of a future. He was broken, felt alone, and had no sense of direction in life. He felt as if all of his friends and family had forgotten about him but then… Jared skipped his flight back home to his family, just to talk with Nolan and give him someone to talk to. This two hour long conversation led to an opportunity which ultimately led to Nolan finding hope. Jared proposed to Nolan if he graduates, and focuses on sobriety, he would have a job.

After Nolan had experienced emancipation, homelessness, addiction, and the loss of many friends, he decided that he needed to be the difference in the world. He knew that he was called to share light with others and lead people to mental/emotional freedom, healing, and security within. Nolan found his passion in helping others from a very young age. He quickly became the person that everyone would go to, to discuss their struggles. Nolan made the changes needed to be made, and what happened next was nothing short of a miracle. At the age of 18, Nolan moved from Oregon to Texas and moved in with his newly found mentor, Jared Scott. Nolan spent 7 months traveling the country, and sharing his story all over with his mentor. He became part of the Culture Shift movement! Eventually the time came for Nolan to go back to Oregon and to pursue his degree.

After moving back, Nolan began school and got to work. He recognized that nothing had changed while he was gone, so he took initiative and made that change happen. Taking his inspiration from the student made solutions found in the “Culture Shift” program, Nolan now stands as founder of the “Spring Into Truth” movement. “S.I.T” was programmed to not only address the challenges of individuals and whole communities, but to create a level of social structure for those unaware of the necessary resources! After hosting the first annual event and having no expectations, Nolan was then introduced and invited to many events and meetings. He is working on a film with the department of housing for the state of Oregon.

Nolan is now also on the “Youth Action Board” (YAB) at the “YEHP” (Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program” focused on putting an end to youth homelessness.

After Nolan’s youth years of abuse, neglect, and depression, Nolan quickly found his way to rock bottom. At rock bottom, he focused on changing the foundation to the foundation of truth instead of lies that he had previously lived by. He built himself into the person he is today, and goes into the world knowing that it IS possible for everyone else as well!
